The hotel was very clean. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. i found the location provided easy access to shops and restaurants. the hotel features a great cafe, a pub and restaurant, and nice outdoor covered seating. i walked around the grand canal basin and found it very nice (a relaxing experience).

The location worked out great for a show at the nearby theatre, it was a short walk. my room, the double room, seemed recently redecorated and looked very fresh. i had a really good sleep because the beds were comfortable. The room was also quiet
The bar staff made me uncomfortable once. I felt they watched me too closely.

I stayed here for one night before a show nearby. i walked from the train station and it took me about thirty minutes. It was a sunny day. the room was ready when i arrived around 3pm, which i was happy about. room 424 had a double bed and a single bed, so it was spacious.
the room doors were not soundproofed, and i found this annoying. when people passed by the entrance, it seemed like there was no door at all. i also could hear a couple arguing next door. it was crystal clear as if they were in the same room.
